Henry's Fork Trip Report
July 14-18, 2023
Seven amazing ladies joined this trip in Island Park, Idaho and fished everything from the lower Henry's Fork river up to the Madison -including 'The Ranch'. All got fish, the weather was beautiful and we had a great time together. Tamera is pictured above with a beautiful Ranch fish (left) from day one. Day two included a 23" ranch fish by Karen! Green River Trip Report
June 22-26 and 26-30
We had two groups on the Green River this year. June 23rd produced an epic rain storm but the weather improved and both groups found some nice fish. New this year, we tried the local lakes for Grayling as well as finding some nice rainbows and browns in the Green and New Fork Rivers.
Rusti has agreed to guide for us next year and we are so grateful to have her! The favorite guys from the past two years have also been booked to guide for next year. And, the price will be dropped for this trip! Grab your spot June 20-24 before they are gone!

Join us for 7 nights and 6 days guided fishing with two guides and two anglers per boat. This is a great trip for beginners or advanced anglers. With two guides you'll have extra help for both anglers or an extra set of eyes on the boat. For the advanced angler, this is an amazing lodge with guides who can put you on the slam, the rest is up to you. Lodge owner and lead guide Jose Ucan has placed in the March Merkin, Del Brown and other tournaments and he trains his team very well.
The lodge offers authentic Mexican and seafood meals, a down to earth family atmosphere, beachfront property for taking in winter sunrise and sunsets and more.

Agua Boa Lodge, Peacock Bass

Anglers from around the world have been astounded and charmed by the spectacular and unspoiled rain forest surroundings and the ultimate fly-fishing experience of sight-fishing for Peacock Bass at Agua Boa lodge. 20 different species of fish on the fly have been landed here, with three different species of Peacock Bass being the prime target. These range in size from the Butterfly Peacock with an average size of 3 to 5 lbs up to the giant Tucanare Peacock Bass averaging around 23 lbs.. Pirarucu, Piranha, Aruana, and Pacu are also plentiful.
The Agua Boa is the only fly-fishing only stretch of river in Brazil. This coveted designation was granted after lengthy negotiations with the regional government and allows the lodge to provide quality fishing throughout the season. All fishing is done with single, barbless hooks. When at normal levels, the water is so clear, that most strikes are visible and a good percentage of your days will be spent sight fishing. It should be noted, however, that the sight fishing opportunities are dependent on light and water levels.
In addition to the fishing, you’ll have a chance to see tapir, giant Amazon river otters, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, soldier storks, macaws, parrots, toucans, etc. This is a spectacular jungle experience – the river itself is an aquarium. (Photo credits Agua Boa lodge.) |
