Alaska July 2025 Copper River Lodge offers an incredible Alaskan experience and is based on the Copper River near Pope Vannoy landing. There is only one permit to fish on the native owned Copper River and this lodge shares it with one other lodge. The limited access allows Copper River Lodge to leave jet boats on the upper Copper and access water that very few people fish. In addition, the lodge also fishes the Gibraltar River, Katmai National Park (including the famous Moraine Creek drainage), Lake Clark National Park, the Kvichak River (going into Bristol Bay), and the Kijik. There are plenty of additional options within a 30 minute flight of the lodge. Most days, especially those on the Copper, are spent wading and not fishing from a boat. Boats are primarily used for transport to the desired fishing locations. This is a small family style operation which will take only 7 guests. Six days of fishing include at least 3-4 days of fly out options. There are also a multitude of options out the back door on the Copper River and other rivers close to the lodge. July is prime time for trout and Sockeye Salmon with dry droppers, mice, and some streamers. There are also options for Grayling, Northern Pike and possibly Lake Trout. The lodge has a float plane, a lake boat, several jet boats and rafts all of which will give our small group plenty of options each day. Accommodations are in small private cabins and the main lodge hosts all meals and includes a nice family room and beautiful deck overlooking the river to swap fish stories. Copper Rivers kitchen staff provides gourmet meals daily including freshly baked bread, pastries and more. Dietary restrictions can easily be accommodated. The bears, rainbow and salmon Alaska is known for await! See and fish the famous Moraine Creek drainage where the bears will be snacking on Salmon and take in a world like nothing we have in the lower forty-eight. Alaska is an incredible experience that can very easily change your life….. |

Henry's Fork Women's Trip August 22-26, 2024 The July trip filled and we have requests for one more this year.... so here it is! The Henry’s Fork is a bucket list river and we’ll spend three days fishing the heart of it from Island Park, Idaho. Our TroutHunter guides focus on nine sections of the Henry’s Fork including ‘The Ranch’; otherwise known as dry fly paradise. No matter your ability level, there is something for you. If you are a patient, experienced, dry fly loving angler, we will get you on ‘The Ranch’. If you prefer less technical water and more fish there are ample opportunities. Late August is a fun time of year with hoppers and other terrestrials in their prime. It is also scenically beautiful with the wildflowers along the river and the wildlife out in abundance. Eagles and Osprey make regular appearances and past river appearances have included moose, deer, elk and occasionally bear. Temperatures are generally in the 80’s with cool evening's and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. TroutHunter Guides: Their guide roster is comprised of some of the most respected anglers in the industry, averaging over a decade of experience guiding these waters. Applying vast empirical knowledge of trout and their environs, your guide will ensure that each day finds you on a stretch of water that is best suited to your desires and level of experience. All of the TroutHunter guides are gentlemen, great teachers and you will have fun and laugh with them on the water. If you want to work on your cast, your knots, fishy questions… they are more than willing to help. Accommodations and Food Our private accommodations allow you to choose between single or double occupancy. The cozy but spacious three story cabin offers plenty of space for you to get to know your new fishing friends or disappear into your own space and unwind. A private caterer will have all breakfasts, happy hour and dinner ready for you. Lunches will be on the water and you can choose from salads or sandwiches. Beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverages will be ready for you during happy hour and dinner. |

Big Horn River May 12-16 2 Last Minute Openings This trip has been sold out for months but we have two ladies who have unfortunate circumstances and would like to give up their spots. Are you itching for summer fishing every year? Thermopolis, Wyoming and the Big Horn river are another hidden gem. When other locations are still looking at run off and snow, average temps in May are 71 degrees. Historically speaking, this tailwater (below Boysen reservoir) offers some great nymph and streamer fishing in the morning and dry fly fishing in the afternoon during mid-May. The browns, rainbows and cutthroat average 16-18” and the red rocks along the river are a beautiful back drop. Your package includes four nights lodging, three days of guided fishing, all meals and beer/wine with dinner. Arrive in Thermopolis in time for dinner with the group on the 12th and we’ll have the recent fishing reports in hand and plans to share with you for the next day. Our lodging will be in two homes along the river. Sit on the deck, partake in the hot tub, venture over to the local hot springs or do some walking through this small town before or after the fishing. A washer and dryer are available at both locations so you can pack light and fish hard. An amazing caterer will help us with delicious breakfasts and dinners and lunch will be on the river. $2,799 double or $2,999 single occupancy. |
