New Trip Announcement! Big Horn River, Thermopolis, WY May 16-20, 2024 8 Rods Total
Are you itching for summer fishing every year? Thermopolis, Wyoming and the Big Horn river are another hidden gem. Rainbows and cutthroat average 16-18” and the red rocks along the river are a beautiful back drop. While other locations are still looking at run off and snow, average temps in May are 71 degrees at an elevation of 2,930. Historically speaking, this tailwater (below Boysen reservoir) offers some great nymph and streamer fishing in the morning and dry fly fishing in the afternoon during mid-May. Arrive in time for dinner with the group on the 16th and we’ll have the recent fishing reports in hand and plans to share with you for the next day. Your package includes four nights lodging, three days of guided fishing, all meals and beer or wine with dinner. Our lodging will be in two homes along the river. Sit on the deck, partake in the hot tub, venture over to the local hot springs or do some walking through this small town before or after the fishing. Washer and dryer are available at both locations so you can pack light and fish hard. An amazing caterer will help us with delicious breakfasts and dinners and lunch will be on the river. Henry's Fork Trip Report August 3-7, 2023
This group had three solid fishy days and enjoyed getting to know one another. Everyone got into fish and enjoyed different sections of the Henry's Fork. Day two included all three boats fishing Warm River to Ashton, which offered great camaradarie, Eagles, Osprey and a lot of laughs and fun. We also fished the Box, the Ranch and other sections of the lower river over the three days. Karlie Roland came back to guide one day with us and all of our TroutHunter guides were fun to hang out with and kept us on fish. We had a little rain one day but as you can see we still got some nice fish with overcast skies. Sunshine prevaled in the days that followed and more fish were landed by all. A few games of Left, Right, Center, (for flies) one night proved Trisha should be planning a trip to Vegas soon! That girl can roll dice like no one else!

Bahamas, March 3-9, 2024 Mangrove Cay Club -Women's Trip The flats surrounding Andros Island are some of the best bone fishing in the world. The fish are plentiful and average 3 to 5 pounds with regular appearances of 6 to 10 pound fish. Several 11, 12 and 13 pound fish are landed every season. In fact, some of the largest fish have been taken within sight of the lodge! You’ll have plenty of shots whether you are new to saltwater or an expert. Meals here are superb! Cracked conch, conch fritters, grouper nuggets, stone crab claws, hot lobster dip, crudités and chicken wings are some of the items you will find on the hors d’oeuvres table. Fresh seafood is often served for dinner with exquisite desserts to follow. Fresh ground coffee or tea is delivered around 6:15 and made to order breakfasts begin at 7. Most beer, wine, liquor and mixed drinks are included. After dinner you can relax in and enjoy the warm ocean views.... or a few of us are excited to fish for sharks from the dock! We had such a great time here last year. |
