Women's Redfish Trip, South Padre Island, TX

We'll be fishing with Captain Eric Glass who has been guiding here since 1995. He and his team will help us target redfish but there are also sheepshead, blackdrum, and speckled trout. Occasionally tarpon and snook sneak into these flats as well. These experienced gentlemen are well respected guides and know where the fish are. You'll have plenty of targets.
We have brand new two bedroom condos reserved at the beachfront resort. Breakfast and dinner will be catered in or we will check out some of the local restaurants on the island! You can easily squeeze in some time on the beach or take advantage of the spa and other amenities offered (spa not included in the package price). Fly into Brownsville, TX and we'll pick you up or Harlingen can be another option where you can take an easy shuttle to the island. The flats surrounding Andros Island are some of the best bone fishing in the world. The fish are plentiful and average 3 to 5 pounds with regular appearances of 6 to 10 pound fish. Several 11, 12 and 13 pound fish are landed every season. In fact, some of the largest fish have been taken within sight of the lodge! You’ll have plenty of shots whether you are new to saltwater or an expert.
Meals here are superb! Cracked conch, conch fritters, grouper nuggets, stone crab claws, hot lobster dip, crudités and chicken wings are some of the items you will find on the hors d’oeuvres table. Fresh seafood is often served for dinner with exquisite desserts to follow. Fresh ground coffee or tea is delivered around 6:15 and made to order breakfasts begin at 7. Most beer, wine, liquor and mixed drinks are included.
After dinner you can relax and enjoy the warm ocean views.... or a few of us are excited to fish for sharks from the dock! We had such a great time here last year. Come join us for an amazing adventure in March.. |

Join us for 7 nights and 6 days guided fishing with two guides and two anglers per boat. This is a great trip for beginners or advanced anglers. With two guides you'll have extra help for both anglers or an extra set of eyes on the boat. For the advanced angler, this is an amazing lodge with guides who can put you on the slam, the rest is up to you. Lodge owner and lead guide Jose Ucan has placed in the March Merkin, Del Brown and other tournaments and he trains his team very well.
The lodge offers authentic Mexican and seafood meals, a down to earth family atmosphere, beachfront property for taking in winter sunrise and sunsets and more.
