Bahamas Trip Report
An amazing group of women came together at the beginning of March to make this trip an absolutely fabulous event. The crystal clear waters of the Bahamas made seeing your target easier than some other destinations and bonefish were landed by all. We saw dolphins, turtles, vibrantly colored star fish, sharks, cudas and even a couple of tarpon. 

Liz Bain and her team run an incredible operation at Mangrove Cay Club. Coffee or tea is delivered to your door each morning, breakfast is made to order and you step off the dock and into your boat to head out for a day on the salt. Take a dip in the pool and relax upon your return, or cast to sharks from the dock while you enjoy happy hour with scrumptious appetizers. We didn't manage to land any sharks but thoroughly enjoyed hooking and fighting a few. The double occupancy bungalows include a nice sitting area, two queen beds, a private patio on the water and large private bathroom. 

If you are new to saltwater, this is a great place to start your bonefish quest due to the clear waters surrounding Andros Island. We are planning next year....March  3-9, 2024.

Ready to move into summer trout fishing? Many western rivers will have a long spring, with heavy snowpacks. We grabbed more dates on the Green and can't wait to get back there. If you have not been to this well kept flyfishing secret near Pinedale, WY.... now is your chance! Far less pressure than some of the 'bucket list' waters and great dry fly action.  We’ll have access to some incredible fishing where big browns and rainbows are taking the food in. Golden Stones, Salmon Fly's, PMD’s, and Gray Drakes! There are plenty of moose, deer, and great bird watching as you float each day. You’ll find large numbers of fish 16”-20” and the 20”+ fish are not unusual. This is prime time to be on this stretch of river!

This is a great trip for anglers of all levels. Most of the water is less technical than many bucket list trips you might sign up for. While the experts love this hidden gem because of the numbers and sizes of fish, you don't have to be an expert to fish here. We have two ladies guiding on this trip...Rusti Christensen and Shelbi McNiel as well as other fine gentlemen and shop owner Eric Oram. All are with Two Rivers Fishing.

Agua Boa Lodge, Peacock Bass

Anglers from around the world have been astounded and charmed by the spectacular and unspoiled rain forest surroundings and the ultimate fly-fishing experience of sight-fishing for Peacock Bass at Agua Boa lodge. 20 different species of fish on the fly have been landed here, with three different species of Peacock Bass being the prime target. These range in size from the Butterfly Peacock with an average size of 3 to 5 lbs up to the giant Tucanare Peacock Bass averaging around 23 lbs.. Pirarucu, Piranha, Aruana, and Pacu are also plentiful.

The Agua Boa is the only fly-fishing only stretch of river in Brazil. This coveted designation was granted after lengthy negotiations with the regional government and allows the lodge to provide quality fishing throughout the season. All fishing is done with single, barbless hooks. When at normal levels, the water is so clear, that most strikes are visible and a good percentage of your days will be spent sight fishing. It should be noted, however, that the sight fishing opportunities are dependent on light and water levels.

In addition to the fishing, you’ll have a chance to see tapir, giant Amazon river otters, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, soldier storks, macaws, parrots, toucans, etc. This is a spectacular jungle experience – the river itself is an aquarium. (Photo credits Agua Boa lodge.) 

South Padre Island, TX -Redfish!

Excited to announce we will be staying at the brand new Margaritaville resort on South Padre Island. This resort is beach front property and includes several bars, restaurants and a spa on the property. We'll be fishing with Captain Eric Glass who has been guiding here since 1995. He and his team will help us target redfish but there are also sheepshead, blackdrum, and speckled trout. Occasionally tarpon and snook sneak into these flats as well. 

We have brand new two bedroom condos  reserved at the beachfront resort. Breakfast and dinner will be catered in or we will check out some of the local restaurants on the island! You can easily squeeze in some time on the beach or take advantage of the spa and other amenities offered (spa not included in the package price). Fly into Brownsville, TX and we'll pick you up or Harlingen can be another option where you can take an easy shuttle to the island. Five nights lodging, four days guided fishing and all meals and beer/wine with dinner included.  $3,699 single occupancy
