There are a multitude of flyfishing options in the hiding spot of the rich and famous. This part of Idaho is beautiful all year long but the fall colors and warm days in September are extra special. The Wood River and Silver Creek are world renown fisheries right in the heart of the ‘Valley’.  Other area options also include quick trips over the hill to the Salmon River...

The flats surrounding Andros Island are some of the best bone fishing in the world. Professional local guides and 16’ Dolphin Skiffs give you the locals edge on the water each day. Accommodations include a spacious room with sitting area and large bathroom which opens to your own patio overlooking the ocean.

The Agua Boa is the only fly-fishing only stretch of river in Brazil. Anglers from around the world have been astounded and charmed by the spectacular and unspoiled rain forest surroundings and  the ultimate fly-fishing experience of sight-fishing for Peacock Bass at Agua Boa lodge.  20 different species of fish on the fly have been landed here, with different species of Peacock Bass being the prime target.

Finatical Flyfishing is excited to host a women’s saltwater flyfishing trip at Kay Fly Fishing Lodge with Lily Bertrum and Jose Ucan.  Their lodge is located in Punta Allen, within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere on the edge of the Great Mayan Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. We’ll be targeting Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, and Snook. Jacks, Barracuda, Snapper and other species are also cruising the flats. The migratory Tarpon are not in the area at this time but Lily reports solid numbers of the ‘big 3’, (Tarpon, Permit and Bones) are in the area for those who are looking for an opportunity to slam. If you are new to saltwater this is a great trip -boats go out with two guides so each angler has plenty of assistance!

Your Patagonia fishing trip will begin at El Encuentro lodge on the banks of the Rio Futaleufu (also referred to as the Rio Grande) situated at the base of the Andes. Anglers will have their choice to float the big waters of the Futaleufu that holds healthy rainbow and brown trout, or they may walk wade streams, spring creeks and private lakes in the area. El Encuentro guides know all the various side channels and locations of deep pools that hold fish; they know where to encourage guests to wade fish and how to best reach large browns under hidden banks.
